The great majority with original prices realized lists laid in. Three catalogues not present in hardcover are present in softcover (1994’s Salisbury & Woods; 1995’s Fred & Ward; and 2003’s Rindge & Harlan). Generally fine. An extraordinary set of these important auction catalogues, by far the most complete run of hardcover editions we have offered. Arguably the most important series of American numismatic auction catalogues of the 1980s and 1990s, later years continued to offer remarkable collections and individual pieces of unquestionable significance. Originally available on a subscription basis, the firm promoted these hardcover editions less frequently in later years, with the result that many of the more recent volumes are very infrequently seen. This set includes a number of catalogues not recorded by Gengerke as existing in hardcover format and thirteen catalogues (Champa III 1995; Fred & Ward 1995; Champa IV 1995; Eliasberg 1996; Burhop & Davis 1996; Norweb 1996; Rarities, 1997; Rarities, 1999; Bass III, 2000; Bass IV, 2000; Rarities, September 2003; Roe, 2003; Rindge & Harlan, 2003) that aren’t listed by him at all. A rare opportunity.
