ANS signed “V. W.,” one page, 5.5 x 3.5, personal letterhead, no date but postmarked June 18, 1934. Short note to her friend Lyn Irvine, writer and editor of the literary journal The Monologue which she founded in 1934. In full: “Yes, we shall be in (or Leonard anyhow) on Tuesday between 6 & 7 & glad to see you.” She adds a postscript below, “I will write to E. Bowen.” Also addressed on the reverse in Woolf’s hand. In fine condition. Elizabeth Bowen was a British writer who traveled in the same literary circles as Irvine and the Woolfs, and was also among the subscribers to The Monologue.
