50 shares to Charles Bonner in 1869. Signed by president William Sharon and Secretary Tritle. Names are hole cancelled. 25c United States Revenue Stamp and a 25c Nevada Revenue Stamp are on the left side. Bonner was an early superintendent of the Savage Mine. Later he was the mining supervisor of Gould & Curry in Virginia City. Bonner is noted to have a more accurate estimate of processing ore at the Gould & Curry Mill an elaborate structure built in the shape of a Greek cross. The mill was initially supposed to process ore using the Veatch process at roughly $38/ton. It was a failure and the mill was later reconstructed at a cost of $560,000 (Holabird).
