Lot of 4, framed: 1) "Route to the Comstock" Reno-Carson-Virginia City with a waving miner. Frame measures 25" x 18". 2) "MAP OF THE VIRGINIA & TRUCKEE RAILWAY" graduated grid map indicating the railway`s routes in a vertical format. Frame measure 28" x 16". 3) Locomotive drawing by famous Railroad artist H.L. Scott III, also know as "Scotty." A beautiful perspective of Engine #21 (a Baldwin 2-4-0) and its coal tender. Signed and numbered (174/750) includes an enameled button, which reads "Queen of the Short Lines" in its center. The frame measures 16" x 13". 4) A different rendition of the route map, which indicates all the various stops the train made along its entire route. Frame measures 13" x 18". The V & T ran from Reno to Carson City, where the lines split. One line ran south to Minden, the other turned east to Virginia City. The first spike was driven in September 1869.
