Lot of 4. All items related to lumber being milled mostly in the Tahoe region and then shipped to the Comstock mines. 1-2) Sierra Nevada Wood & Lumber Company. Operated at Crystal Bay, Lake Tahoe. 1879 revenue check to Parker & Tobey. 1887 letterhead to TR Hofer. Both signed by JB Overton as supt. 3) Carson & Tahoe Lumber & Fluming Company. Revenue check issued to Geo. T. Davis in 1878. Signed by DL Bliss, key lumber figure (and later owner of Tahoe Tavern and steamer line). 4) 1874 Bank of California check signed by Hobart & Marlette. WS Hobart and SH Marlette operated at Lake Tahoe. They were folded into the Sierra Nevada Wood & Lumber Co. in 1878.
