Lot of 4 square clear bottles from William A. Perkins, and 4 from August Lernhart drug stores. Perkins was listed as a chemist and druggist at 84 South C St. in the Langley Pacific Coast Business Directory for 1876-1878, published in 1875. Lernhart was a partner in a drug store with W. Biter at 33 N. C Street, known as Biter and Lernhart, and Biter & Co. in 1877. Shortly after, Lernhart bought out Biter, or they dissolved their partnership, and Lernhart probably moved to another location at 20 South C Street, The Pioneer Drug Store. Perkins' bottles all read "W. A. PERKINS VIRGINIA NEV." on their slug plates, whereas Lernhart's read, "A LERNHART DRUGGIST VIRGINIA CITY NEV." Perkins: 1) 5.5", bottom embossed W.T. & Co R, three small scratches right side, no chips or cracks; 2) 5", no chips or cracks; 3) 5", sick glass, flaw on lip, air bubbles; 4) 3.5", lip chip, small scratch left side. Lernhart: 1) 6.25", flaw lower slug plate, tiny deep crack right side; 2) bottom embossed W. T. & Co 0, milky white sick glass, no chips or cracks; 3) 4", chip on lip; 4) 3.5", air bubbles, three light scratches left side.
