DATE: 1950's-1960's Vintage DESCRIPTION: Vintage 1967 Worshipful Master Masonic Leather and Velvet Apron, from the late Robert Harold Bowman Estate in Phoenix Arizona 32nd degree Mason of the AZTLAN Lodge of Prescott, AZ, the apron's inscription reads (printed on white silk): Presented by Bagdad Lodge No. 54 F.& A.M. Bagdad Arizona to Robert Harold Bowman Worshipful Master 1967, the apron has 2 very long navy blue braided cords with large blue tassels on each end, on the opposite of carrying case there is another apron (late 1950's) of white leather with an inscription that reads: Presented by Aztlan Lodge No. 1, F.& A.M. To Brother Robert H. Bowman Intiated Nov;-22-1954 Passed Dec:-20-1957 Raised Jan:-18-1958 and signed in blue ink by the Secretary and Worshipful Master, this apron has two long white braided cords with white tassels at each end, inside the carrying case there is a bag of white silk material and also a torn paper envelope with the following information printed on it: A Masonic Apron from the Quality Shops of Ihling Bros.Everard Co. Kalamazoo, Michigan Est'd 1869 SECRETARY PLEASE NOTICE: After inscribing this APRON, return same to this envelope to prevent soiling or use an ''IBECo.'' APRON PACK to preserve from soiling creasing and ease of handling'', the lambskin Master Mason apron derives from the working apron of the ancient stone masons. It is an Emblem of Innocence and the badge of a Freemason.
