This is a vintage lithograph print from the set printed in 1951 by Mourlot Freres of Paris. Original poster artwork by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Printed on superb quality paper; colors are bright and crisp. SIZE: Approx. 9 1/2" x 12 1/2". This poster advertised the illustrated art review titled 'L'Aube' (The Dawn), which started publishing in May of 1896. It is early dawn and two dramatic rays of light from the street lamp reveal a driver muffled against the morning's damp chill, as a beleaguered peasant woman pushes a dustcart along a steep street. Lautrec conveys a wonderful light and atmosphere through the same splattered turquoise ink as he employed in Le Tocsin.
