Vintage Salvation Band Poster -- The Salvation Band performed in San Francisco during the late 1960's at venues such as the Straight Theater. They were the opening act for The Doors and Big Brother and the Holding Co. This posture is 19 1/2" x 13 1/2". This is from the large vintage San Francisco venue concert posters that we received and is from the same period. Salvation was a late-1960s American rock band from San Francisco. The group was sometimes billed as the New Salvation Army Band and their name prompted a legal challenge from The Salvation Army church organization. They performed in San Francisco, featured as the house band at the Roaring Twenties topless club in North Beach. They did shows in Golden Gate Park and at the Haight-Ashbury communal venue the Straight Theater. This poster is used and looks like it was rolled at some point, there are wrinkles and light wear, no holes or tape.
