<td width="100%">
A poster of the Union Castle Line, "The Big Ship Way to Africa", showing an aerial color photo of the r.m.s. Windsor Castle. This ship was employed on the Southhampton-Cape Town service between 1960 and 1977. In 1977 she was sold to Greece, sailed under several different names until she was broken up in India only recently. This poster is part of a collection amassed over a period of many years by a former Dutch diplomat.
Please note that this poster shows signs of age at its extreme margins - one corner is missing and the others have small rips and creases, none affecting the image. (The shadow on the poster appears in the photo only...)
Please note as well that all of our posters, prints and pochoirs are original, non-reproduction, vintage works of art.
Please see our other nautical and general ephemera for sale on this site. We will be happy to send additional photos or to answer any additional questions. Thank you!
Size of piece is 40.5 inches high by 25.5 inches wide. Will be shipped rolled in a poster tube.
Thank You!
