Incredible Civil War Era Family Photo Album with Abe and Mary Todd Lincoln.

This is a fantastic family photo album. I have not seen a fully complete family album given all the named Tin Types and CDV's. Of 12 tin types 11 are ID with written in names, of the 36 CDV's 32 are ID with proper names. None of the photo's are signed. In the center of the photo album Abraham Lincoln and his wife Mary Todd Lincoln are represented with their own CDV. There are 25 pages in all. The Album is leather with gold leaf "ALBUM" on the spine. There is gold leafing on the page edges as well. It has a heavy brass clasp in excellent condition and good working order. The album is a little rubbed with a small tear in the top of the spine but otherwise it is in wonderful condition. It is solid and very tight....no pages are loose nor is anything falling apart. Just a real great find. I picked it up in New Hampshire. The names in the album are; Jones, Snow, Hemphill, Brown, Johnson, Palmster, Leonard, Knapp, Collins, and Mann. The children in the album are from these folks marrying, many of them are named. The Lincoln's CDV's unfortunatly are not signed. The album may have been put together during the Civil War or shortly thereafter.
