The lot features a wonderful late-vintage sterling silver squash blossom necklace and earring set from Navajo artist, Leon Frances Kirlie. The artist name can be found as Leon Frances Kirlie, L.F. Kirlie, Leon F. Kirley, and LFK / L.F.K. and is signed, “Sterling LFK” on the clasp and naja. The necklace shows a sterling silver box chain strand with large bench made hand formed sterling silver Navajo pearl beads (also referred to as concho beads, bench beads) with a double strand. There are a total of 14 blossom pendants each with a fluted "blossom" end and oval polished cabochon of wonderful Blue Gem Turquoise in a sterling silver shadowbox oval pattern. At the bottom shows the classic naja squash pendant with triple strand showing two bars of silver with a rope silver center set with five polished cabochons of Blue Gem Turquoise in sterling silver shadow box oval settings. The necklace is signed, "LFK Sterling". A wonderful estate late-vintage set in well-kept condition. The necklace measures overall 25.5"L end to end and squash pendant being 2.75” by 2 3/8”. Total weight of 135.1 grams.
