<B>Hold-To-The-Light Color Postcards of European Cities</B></I>. Rare and unique these cards are "Hold to the Light" novelty cards. The group includes twelve postcards circa late 19th century, depicting scenes from some of Europe’s most picturesque cities including Aachen, Mainz, London, Bremen, Zurich and several others. When held in front of a light (hence the name), another scene is exposed hidden within the original scene but only visible when the card is back light. Some of these show a glistening town in the moonlight, others show highlighted buildings. Most of the postcards have been used and have toned slightly with age, else they are all in very good condition.
