Vintage Cochise County Sheriff Badge Aproximatly 3InX3In Heavy Thick Metal. Cochise County Sheriff Badge. This type of badge was worn by Johnny Behan, the first sheriff of Cochise County. The famous shootout at the OK Corral took place during his term in 1881. Behan later became superintendent of the Yuma Territorial Prison. Heavy die struck metal with sterling plate, 1 1/2" diameter crescent star. Substantial pin on back.
