This is a collection (~59) of vintage American and German cigarette cards, trading cards of models, prominent silent movie stars, uniformed Officers of the Waldorf-Astoria Muchen, historical events, things in nature, early film companies and flags ca. 1800-1950. Each card, displayed elegant sepia-tone, black and white or color and was included inside a pack of cigarettes. The cards were collector’s items. There are two black and white cards dedicated to the Duchess of York. The first card is from Will’s Cigarettes  documents the Duchess of York’s  (later Queen Mary) visit to Sheffield in 1934. Verso is a typed description of her story of her visit as well as crediting the Imperial Tobacco Co (of Great Britain & Ireland, LTD. A series of 50 and the number 36. issued). The second card from Will’s Cigarettes shows a picture of the Duchess of York participating in at a “TOC H” Festival League of Women Helpers at Albert Hall in 1934. Verso is Series 50 and the number 38.  Also included in this collection is Player’s Cigarettes Savio-Marchetti S.66 the flying boat and airliner. Verso is a typed description of the aircraft with credit give to John Player& Sons. This is series 50 and the number 46.  An advertisement with a picture of a monster and the caption “What A Spooky Town.” for Roger Corman’s production company who’s famous for producing independent film under the company American International Pictures.  Verso is scripted dialogue between two characters and the number 81. There are two color uniform of trading cards from the German Empire. Verso is a description, series information and the card number written in German  both cards are series 5.  This is a rare color image of civil war veteran Henry B. Carrington that was included with the purchase of Wild West Gum.  Verso is list of Indigenous Americans and names of soldiers. Credit is John H. Dockman & Son” .  A color Victorian trading card for Arm and Hammer  Baking Soda, Useful  Birds of America Series,  #5. Front of Card show the Bird and verso has information about the Bird (approx.  2 x 3 in).  Philadelphia’s historic Wilbur Chocolate Bar Flag cards.  One the front is a color picture of a country and its flag. Verso is information about the collection and company information. All cards are in fair to good condition with folds creases, markings and wear at edges. Some of the images of the people have faded over time. Verso some cards are blank. (approx.1 ½” x 3 “).
