Arrington Estate: Vintage Abacus from Saipan, scratched into the wood on the side reads ''Saipan LST 485'', measures 2.5''W x 15''L, possibly has ivory trim, the copper end has a star with oriental characters inside and the Patent No. 80408, this could perhaps have been a piece purchased by a soldier stationed on this ship FYI: ''During World War II, LST-485 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and participated in the following operations: the Vella-Lavella occupation in September 1943; the Treasury Island landings in November 1943; the Capture and occupation of Saipan June and August 1944; the Capture and occupation of Tinian in July and August 1944; and the Assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto from May to June 1945USS LST-484 was an LST-1-class tank landing ship built for the United States Navy during World War II.''

After the 48 hour period all items are considered as is, without recourse. No buyers premium or shipping will be reimbursed on items returned for any reason.
