This is a pair of really cool vintage (probably 1970s) greeting cards featuring artwork by Martin Caulkin titled "Lady of Shalott" and "Salome." Printed in England. SIZE: Approx. 5" x 7" each. Martin Caulkin was born in Birmingham in 1945. He studied Graphics and illustration in the West Midlands at Birmingham College of Arts and Crafts. Then in the mid- sixties, Caulkin moved to London as a freelance illustrator and art teacher of drawing and painting. In the late seventies Martin Caulkin contemporary paintings started to be published in print form and distributed successfully worldwide. This allowed him to move from London to rural Worcestershire- a move which prompted a shift away from figurative painting to an intensely personal artistic treatment of landscape. Many of Martin Caulkin paintings feature Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire scenes. **MORE cards from 1950s to 1990s (risque, nude, art sci-fi, oddities) in this and future auctions. From the estate of a big collector who traveled the world and had some very scare paper items. Many postcards from small independent underground printers in Germany, Holland, France, UK, etc.

Placing a bid is a legally binding obligation. There are no returns or exchanges.
