This is pressed glass of 1920s vintage, and it is winsome! It has a crenellated, scalloped top with an etched flower on each of its sides. It has a six-pointed star on the bottom.

It measures 3 inches tall, 6 1/4 inches wide handle to handle, and 2 5/8 inches across the base. It is 3 1/2 inches across the top. I do not have the name of the design or the manufacturer.

Spooners were used from Victorian times through the early part of the 20th century. They were a standard part of a table service which included sugars, creamers, and pitchers. They generally were used either to hold unused spoons or to hold spoons which had been used, generally to stir coffee, tea, etc.

This will make a lovely addition to one's 1920s glass collection!
