Wonderful military, political and typically American advertising for war bonds during WWI...

THE INSCRIPTION READS "SHALL WE BE MORE TENDER WITH OUR DOLLARS THAN WITH THE LIVES OF OUR SONS" - Another piece of fine Americana from the First World War. Printed by Edward and Deutsch of Chicago, and showing enlisted men from two branches of the military, this wonderful poster is in good shape. (Condition issues include small tack holes in each corner, scotch tape visible on face of poster which can easily be removed/repaired by professionals. Overall good condition, no foxing, no tearing, no image issues.) Photographed under plastic, pardon the shine and shadows. Originally issued in 1917. This is not a reproduction and not a brand new copy. Measures 20 X 30. We love the innocent approach - of the statement and the child. Patriotic advertising at its best. Please note that all of our posters are vintage, non-reproduction works of art. Please check out our other items for sale on this site to see our other posters, prints and ephemera. Thank you!
