Official 16mm film reel produced by the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces, General Political Warfare Department, held inside a heavy duty 12 x 12 case, with a title card on the front, reading: “The Battle of Hue: An Authentic Documentary on the Tet Offensive Against the Old Walled City of Hue by the Communists. Presented by General Tran-Van-Trung, Chief of the General Political Warfare Department, RVNAF.” Inside is a single reel of film in a metal canister. In very good to fine condition. Part of the 1968 Tet Offensive, the Battle of Hue was one of the longest and bloodiest clashes of the Vietnam War. Although the battle was militarily won by the US-ARVN allied forces, the American public began to view the conflict more negatively due to the substantial casualties suffered on both sides.
