Victorian era high art cased dagger in French style showing finely etched and gold gilded blade and mounts with intertwining blue and polished steel wrapped grip in near mint condition with original velvet and satin lined case with Moroccan leather cover. The dagger measures 9 ½” overall with a 5 ¼” spear point blade. This is a weapon and not an ornamental letter opener. The quality of the etching is excellent and in our opinion was made by a Paris gun maker like Le Page orGastinne Renette as it shows stands of arms in the etching. Est.: $2,500-$5,000
