Victorian carved wood figure "Infant Jesus of Prague" Circa 1860 wooden construction covered by gesso having brown glass eyes embedded in slots cut into the face, brown carved painted hair, carved gesso finished hands and bare feet. Left hand is extended in the manner to hold a miniature globe; the globe and crown are absent, the right hand is extended in the manner of Pontifical blessing. He is dressed in a hand-made gold- velvet robe decorated with rhinestone belt and glass beading strung on woven wooden chain; also a gold finished chain and tassel hang from around his shoulder. His under garment is handmade of linen and lace Damage to left hand, one finger tip missing and one finger repaired.
