Offered here is an incredible pair of Victorian Sheffield English Serving Spoons with Gold Wash bowls. The maker is William Adams. In the early nineteenth century foliate and shell borders became fashionable. These spoons reflect both. The gold-washed bowls have impressed upon them an abundant picture of fruit. Just off center is a pineapple, next to that a bunch of grapes. There are bananas, an apple, a pear, an orange, and two plums. All are encircled with beautifully detailed leaves and flowers. No monogram. Awesome!
The condition of each of these spoons is excellent. No scratches. No dents. They have never been used. Spoon: 9 1/8 " Bowl alone: 3 3/8 " x 2 3/4
Mark is WA in a rectangle, followed by Sheffield, England.
Offers Welcome
