<td width="100%">
Silver christening mug, in presentation case. Tapering form, engraved with beautiful design of birds, plants and butterflies. The front of the mug is engraved with the initials ?A.M.C.? in flowing script, and ?Xmas 93? - this would be 1893. Underneath the mug is the maker?s mark ?Arlington & Co, Calcutta?. This name is also stamped in gold on the silk lining of the box?s lid.
Mug measures just under 7.5 cm high (3 inches), and is approx. 6.25 cm diameter at the base (2.1/2 inches). A few age spots inside, but in excellent condition overall. Case has some marks and scuffs, but is good and solid. Very pretty item, and Raj period silver is very popular. Silver has been tested.
