A small, unidentified proof stamp is present on the rear of the breech section of the barrel, with a flared cannon muzzle, and no external markings on the lock plate, which is outfitted with a hinged safety hook, an engraved and cut-through brass wheel cover, and a fantastic creature on the dog. The stock has a sharp, almost 90 degree bend at the wrist, with scrimshawed ivory disc inlays among a number of larger panels. The left side features a scene of three running wildcats on the forearm, the underside has a musketeer and a grotesque face ahead of the trigger guard, a pair of ivory panels inscribed "W A/15 75" on either side of the upper tang, mother of pearl grotesque bust and floral panels on the wrist, and the left showing a lion and a knight on horseback charging each other, while a hunting dog looks on. The ball pommel is a little over 3 inches wide, with the wood divided into 5 panels with deeply floral carved brass bands, a raised brass lion head on each panel surrounded by floral carved ivory and pearl panels, and a brass lion head pommel cap.
