Measuring 27 1/2 inches in length, with a thick 23 inch wood prod secured to the front with cord wrapping, along with a metal foot stirrup. The prod is covered in snakeskin, and fitted with a twisted cord string. Bone inlay panels are present on top of the body, with a long firing bar and a pair of heavy bolts for use with a crank. With a snakeskin covered hardwood quarrel and a pair of metal tipped wood bolts. In the style of the 15th century but with real snake skin. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection
