Victorian Bergeonet constructed of cast copper that was plated to look like steel with raised carved relief figures in ancient scenes. These Victorian copies were made by museums and European artisans right off the best arms available from Royal collections and public institutions. Fine armor was rare even more than 100 years ago when the great Halls and Castles of Europe were being restored in the 19th century. This is a very impressive and good-looking decorative helmet that has true age and a nice patina. One ear flap is missing otherwise very good condition. Est.: $2,500-$5,000.
