c1900 Large model of the world-famous gramophone dog, affectionately known as "Nipper." This life-like restored model measures 38" high, 36" long (nose-to-tail) and 12" wide at the shoulders. The real "Nipper" was probably a terrier mix, who died in 1895. He was the model for the famous Francis Barraud painting "His Master's Voice," of the dog looking intently into a gramophone. This image later become the logo for several audio recording brands, most notably Victor and RCA. This is a famous nad historic period piece. Gordon Harris Estate - HKA#66088
