Halfback for the Washington Redskins who played college football at Ohio State University and won the Heisman Trophy in 1950. During training camp in 1956, he suffered a serious brain injury in an automobile accident that left him partially paralyzed and ended his athletic career. Glossy 6.25 x 9.25 photo of Janowicz in his Redskins uniform, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint “To Jim Wiggins—With best regards, sincerely, Vic Janowicz.” In fine condition, with trimmed edges, a few minor creases, and light rippling to emulsion.
