Very unusual brass double action pinfire pistol of European origin circa 1860s with checkered wood grips. Approximately 9mm pinfire with a six shot cylinder. The only visible markings are a crown over Y proof on the right side of frame andcylinder which were made to resemble the English crown V proof. The pistol is nicely engraved shows a 4 ¾” barrel and is 9 7/8” overall. The brass shows a mellow patina with good sharp edges. The grips also are good with some slight wear at theedges and a minor stress crack. The action is good and all small parts are retained including brass ejector rod and brass front sight. The only visible steel parts are the trigger, hammer and lanyard ring. Est.: $600-$1200
