Very unique colors delightful high quality Kashan design Rug. 100% natural hand woven, vegetable dye, softest baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. This is an exquisite design on a beige background with a central medallion & tear drops enhanced with crowned corners of Williamsburg blue of utmost beauty. Given the fact that rugs are product of a desert like environment, it is only natural to use primary colors in the majority of the rugs produced as a means of absorbing the harsh sunlight in order to be soothing to the eyes. Therefore it is rather rare and unusual to come across rugs with such predominant soft tones. This is an exceptionally intricate and exquisite piece with its beautiful shah-abbasi floral pattern and it is masterfully woven, knot by knot, with about 80 knots per square inch. It is noteworthy that it would take over two years to weave and create this lovely piece. Size: 11 feet 10 inches X 8 feet 5 inches. Country of Origin: Nepal.
