Very scarce Winchester Model 1885 Single Shot rifle, .50 EX. cal., 30” octagon No. 3 barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks, #76056. This gun is in overall fine to excellent condition showing approx. 97%original blue on barrel, areas of muted original case colors on receiver with balance gone to a silvery tone, fine bore, crisp action and markings, fine wood stocks with factory ebony inset at front of fore end,some minor storage dings and scratches to finish and a slight chip to the right side edge of the butt stock at the upper tang corner, correct blued steel butt plate; adjustable Marble tang sight; front base iscorrect, just missing its blade. This is a true rarity in Winchester high wall rifles and worthy of inclusion in any serious single shot rifle collection. Est.: $5,000-$8,000.
