Very rare and unusual charming eagle Kazak Persian Tabriz Rug. 100% natural, hand woven, vegetable dye, baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. This is a rare all-over eagle Kazak design on a beige background. This piece is adorned with a charming collection of birds and animals. Eagle Kazaks (Chelaberd Kazaks) are actually Armenian rugs from the Jeraberd region of Ngorno Karabak. Jeraberd was one of the fine Armenian provinces (kingdoms) that were a part of the greater Persia until the mid nineteenth century. Strong geometric/masculine design is the major attribute of eagle Kazaks. This fine piece has been woven masterfully, knot by knot, and it has about 120 knots per square inch and it takes over two years to create this lovely piece. Please notice that also attesting to the fine weave is the fact that the back of this rug looks as good as the front. Size: 10 feet 7 inches X 7 feet 2 inches. Country of origin: Iran.
