Very rare and important Michael Price San Francisco style ring dirk. Approx. 10-1/4” overall with 5-1/8” semi-spear blade with false edge. Blade is 3/16” stock. Ricasso is hot stamped “M. Price” / “San Fran”. Hilt shows one piece waisted walrus ivory with eye nut at pommel with minor hairline cracks and chips near the crossguard. Traces of original scrimshawed pattern on front of hilt remain. Silver engraved double finger ring crossguard with aged patina. The engraving shows flower and scroll motifs. Blade shows full edge and tip and medium grey patina overall. Circa approx. 1860’s to 1870’s. Est: $15,000 - $30,000
