Very interesting large leather document portfolio with embossed spread eagle and swastika on cover, approx. 15” x 11” overall and in generally good condition with some scuffing and wear; inside of front cover is the name “Buddy Martin”. Consigno indicates Martin was a GI veteran relative who served in the European Theater in WW II and sent a lot of war trophies home including this portfolio. The cataloger has not seen a folio like this before and it is very well accomplished; may have been the property of a ranking German officer; hard to put a value on this unique piece. Est.: $300-$3,000.
