Very interesting dagger dating to the 19th century or earlier with Damascus pattern steel blade and chiseled guard with lion or tiger heads and green jade handle. The dagger measures 13 ¼” overall with an 8” blade which is nearly 1 3/8” wide atthe widest point. The condition is good with some minor pitting and the jade shows some minor imperfections. We cannot locate a similar dagger in any reference and an educated guess by several conspiring experts placed the country of origin at India or possibly Persia. Est.: $600-$1200
