Very Rare, Unique Color, Fine Part Silk Persian-Pak Kashan Carpet. 100% Natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, pure silk and finest baby lambs wool pile on cotton foundation. This is a lovely Shah-Abbasi floral flower garden design with a captivating sunburst central medallion over an extremely soft pistachio green background. Rugs being mostly a product of hot, arid and desert-like environment with harsh intense sunlight, tend to incorporate more of the primary colors to absorb and degrade the intensity of the sunlight in order to be soothing to the eyes. So it is rather rare and unusual to come across a Kashan with such predominant soft earth tone colors in the market place. This Rug is masterfully hand woven, knot by knot, and has about 160 knots per square inch. It would take over three years to create and weave this beauty. The glowing silk high lights give this lovely piece a three dimensional character. Please notice that also attesting to the fine weave is the fact that the back of this Rug looks as good as the front. Size: 10 feet X 8 feet. Country of Origin: Pakistan.
