The ADAC was founded on 24 May 1903 in Stuttgart's Hotel Silber, as the "Deutsche Motorradfahrer-Vereinigung“ (German Motorbikers' Association), with an annual membership fee of six Marks.  Following a name change in 1911 it became the "Allgemeinen Deutsches Automobile-Club“ The Prussian Eagle, which for many years was the main feature of the ADAC badge was chosen as the organization's symbol in appreciation of the support received from the German Kaiser who was also Prussia's hereditary king. In 1933 Adolf Hitler ploughed state funds into the coffers of the Auto Union, who responded with seemingly unbeatable models as competition with Mussolini hit new highs. This silver cup was awarded to the winner of an automobile race but as a veteran bring back we have no idea which race. Having the Nazi Party emblem on the top in copper to show the parties involvement in all German events. The silver cup measures 8 inches high and 4 1/4 across the opening, and weighs 12.6 ounces.
