Very Rare Late War ac/45 Walther Dual Code K/G43 Rifle with Sling

The Dual code G/K43 rifle is one of the late last ditch efforts by the Walther factory to use early receiver forgings for rifle assembly. These rifles were all early Walther manufactured forgings that had been declared unsuitable for use however towards the end of the war, these standards were relaxed and many receiver forgings were reclaimed and used in late 1945 production. These receivers were usually associated with the BLM production from France however this one is only proofed by the Walther factory Eagle 359, (but still is a cosmetically machined forging). The left side of the receiver is marked with an Eagle 359 proof, K43, ac/45, G43 and the serial number with no letter code, with the right side having the integral scope mounting rail. Hooded blade front sight and adjustable tangent rear sight graduated 1-12. The bolt carrier is a type three version, rough cast with reinforcing ribs on the end with the bolt hold-open latch and hollow cocking knob. An "eagle/359" proof over the matching serial number are marked just below the cocking knob. The stock and handguard are the correct late war laminated versions, on the left side of the stock there is a single Eagle 359 proof below the sling slot, a smaller one in the pistol grip area and one on the lower stock in front of the buttplate. It has the original spare parts packet in the butt trap. It is complete with a late war unmarked brown cross-hatched leather sling, a blue cleaning rod and rubber muzzle cover.

Excellent. The rifle retains 98% original phosphate/parkerized metal finish. The stock and handguard are excellent with only some very minor handling marks. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically fine. An extremely rare and desirable rifle in any condition. These rifles were manufactured in extremely limited numbers and saw heavy use in the final stages of the war
