Ram Durbar Token (Mid 19 Century CE), Gold Ramtanka, Large flan, Obv: Durbar scene, Rama and Sita seated on durbar platform, two attendants at either side one of them holding Chammri (Umbrella) and another holds fly-whisk above them, Hanuman seated at the left, Rev: the marriage procession of Rama and Sita, 11.79g, 28.52mm, super quality, almost uncirculated, almost uncirculated, Very Rare.
Note: The Ramtankas, portraying the Hindu deity Ram and his durbar with Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman, bear an ancient historical legacy, these were made for ceremonial purposes and have now gained significant popularity, especially following the recent inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
