Very Rare Brooklyn Arms Standard Pocket Revolver

Manufactured circa 1863, this revolver is the very rare variant with the standard straight unfluted .32 rimfire cylinder. It is estimated that less than 100 of these revolvers were manufactured. The revolver is correctly unmarked except for the serial number "5" on the left side of the frame under the grip and on the rear face of the cylinder. The underside of the barrel is numbered "7". The frame has the standard decorative scroll engraving. Brass pin front sight, frame groove rear sight and 6-shot cylinder. Fitted with smooth two-piece grips.

Fair as assembled, see above. The metal surfaces have a gray patina with minor pitting. The frame has an untouched dark aged patina. The grips are good with a couple minor chips, some very minor warping on the toes, some lower edge wear, and overall some minor dings and dents. The action occasionally hangs up a bit, otherwise functions. The engraving is clear.
