Very fine. 75% plus faded original blue finish remains on the barrel slightly thinning evenly down the length of the barrel with some scattered light handling marks. All markings are crisp and clear. The receiver retains 70% original blue finish the balance is thinning to a mottled brown patina mostly on high points and exposed edges with some scattered surface scratches. The hammer, lever and loading gate show flashes of brilliant original case colors. The wood is very fine with exception of some overall light pressure marks and scuffs. The checkering is still sharp. This is a very fine example of totally original, special order, deluxe, light weight Winchester Model 1886 that would enhance any Winchester collection.
