Manufactured in 1875, one year in advance of the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition in which Colt displayed arms like this. The revolver has a nickel finish with niter blue screws and gold plated hammer, trigger, cylinder pin and cylinder. A floral scroll and punch dot engraving is featured on the barrel, frame and top strap with a zig zag pattern around the hammer which ends with a wedge of scrollwork. The cylinder flats have a geometric engraving and floral pattern on a punch dot background. The side plate has a floral engraved design. The top of the barrel is stamped with the two line Hartford address and the butt is stamped with the serial number and "30 CAL". The barrel and cylinder are numbered to the gun. Fitted with pearl grips that are also numbered to the gun.

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 97% original nickel finish with some minor flaking on the grip straps. The hammer and cylinder pin retain 40% of original gold plating and heavy amounts of original gold remain on the cylinder flutes with the balance a smooth gray patina. Most of the original niter blue finish remains on the screws. The grips are excellent with an attractive color. The engraving is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
