A) Japanese Type 99 Rifle. Shrouded inverted "V" front sight and rear sight with anti-aircraft wings, with clear mum and model markings on a receiver without a dust cover. The left receiver wall is marked with the serial number and Toyo Kogyo marking. Bolt and extractor are numbered to the gun. Smooth stock with upper handguard, cupped buttplate, and side mounted sling swivels. Complete with a monopod.

Condition: Very good. The rifle retains 90% original blue finish which has turned a dark brown patina with age, with some spotting on the receiver. There is some minor spotting with some minor pitting on the barrel. The wood is very good with some minor dings, pressure dents, and scratches, with a few minor gouges.

B) Blade front and short-staff ladder rear sight. The chamber has a ground mum with the "38 Type" model marking remaining. Left receiver wall has the Tokyo Arsenal marking and the serial number. No dust cover, with the bolt numbered to gun. Smooth stock with upper handguard, flat buttplate, and sling swivels mounted on the left side.

Condition: Excellent. The carbine retains 95% original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown patina. There is some cold blue touch up on the receiver where the now absent mum was originally stamped. There is some light spotting (mostly on the floor plate) with some minor pitting on the receiver. The wood is very good with numerous minor dings, pressure dents and scratches, along with a deep gouge in the grip area.
