Extremely fine. The revolver retains 97% original bright high polish blue finish on the barrel with some muzzle and high edge wear, and some mild thinning. The cylinder has traces of original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray and the scene is nearly all visible. The loading lever and frame retain 50% original case colors with a smooth silver gray patina on the balance. The trigger guard and back strap retain 98% original silver plating that is beginning to darken with age. The grip is excellent with 98% original varnish remaining, showing some lower edge wear, and a few minor dings and dents. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The case is very fine. The lid is slightly warped and there are a few minor dings and scratches on the exterior. The lining is fine with some fabric absent on the edges of the compartment walls and some on the bottom, as well as some minor contact wear. The Colt's Patent flask and mold are fine with some separation in the seam of the flask.
