Manufactured in 1902. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on the left side and the two line, three patent dates are marked on the left side of the frame followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard, and back strap, with the assembly number "544" on the loading gate. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened frame and hammer, and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt at the top. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, blue finish, grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 of 5 to Simmons Hardware Company St. Louis, Missouri on October 10, 1902. Comes with a "MB" hallmarked lined double loop holster ("MB" may stand for Merwin & Bray) and leather money belt with 64 cartridge loops and a double loop holster.

Condition:
Very fine with 85% plus bright original finish blue finish remaining showing muzzle and high edge wear, a bright drag line on the cylinder, as well as some scratches, and some thinning to smooth gray and plum patina on the grip straps. The frame and hammer retain 80% plus original bright case colors with some fading to gray. The grips are excellent with some minor handling marks and crisp checkering. The holster and belt are good with the holster losing much of it's original color and showing some wear on the upper inner portion. The stitching is tight. The otherwise fine belt shows some stains and has a 4 inch section of stitching that has separated along the top edge.
