Very Early Style Wilkinson Sword Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife with Nickel Finish and Sheath
Founded in 1772, Wilkinson exists today as a manufacturer of shaving tools, marketed under the "Schick" name in the States. Made in the earliest style, with a "wavy" crossguard and knurled brass grip. 6 1/4" blade, with "THE/ F-S/ FIGHTING/ KNIFE" in an etched panel on one side of the ricasso and "WILKINSON/ SWORD/ Co Ltd/ LONDON" on the reverse with a crossed sword design. The curved crossguard is nickel finished, as the checkered grip. Sheath is brown leather, with a silver finished tip.

Very good. The blade shows polishing marks and a few small areas of dark spotting, light dents and flaking on the guard, and a large number of dents on the grip, along with patches of exposed brass. Sheath is good as altered, with tabs, retention strap, and part of the belt loop cleanly removed, and some tearing.
