Very Desirable World War II 1936 Dated S/42 Code Mauser Luger Rig with One Matching Magazine and 1936 Dated Holster

This was the first year that the Mauser factory stopped using the secret wartime date codes (K and G) and actually dated the Luger pistol. This one is marked with the full "1936" date over the chamber area with the front toggle marked "S/42". The barrel extension and barrel have the early "Eagle/63" and "droop wing eagle" firing proofs with the same proof on the breechblock. It has the standard military style serial number placement with the full number (2535) on the frame, barrel and barrel extension with the last two digits on the various small parts. It has the early rust blued finish overall with the straw colored small parts. The extractor safety are properly marked and it has checkered walnut grips. It is complete with two early magazines; both have the early nickel plated magazine body with aluminum base. One is unnumbered and has a late war "Eagle/655" proof while the other one is correctly stamped "2535/k/+/Eagle/63". This early pistol comes with correct style 1936 dated black leather Luger holster marked on the back side: WILHBRAND/HEILDELBERG/1936" over a small Eagle Waffenamt proof with an unmarked takedown tool.
