Very Desirable Nazi "S/42" Mauser "G" Date Luger Pistol with Matching Magazine

This is a great example of a Nazi "G" date Luger pistol that was manufactured by the Mauser factory in 1935. These early "G" Lugers were all manufactured during the early Nazi rearmament with this being an early example that has the smaller size serial numbers. The chamber has the single "G" date with the "S/42" Mauser code on the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the later Mauser "Eagle/63" Waffenamt proofs with a single eagle firing proof. The underside of the barrel has the serial number and bore diameter, with a "Eagle/63" Waffenamt proof and a Eagle firing proof, on each side of the barrel. It has the correct military style serial number placement with the full serial number "9158d" on the frame, "9158' on the barrel extension and barrel and the last two digits "58" on the various small parts. It is correctly marked "Gesichert" in the safety area and "Geladen" on the side of the extractor. It has the standard fixed front and rear sights. This Luger is accompanied with one early nickel plated magazine with an aluminum base that is marked "9158/d/+/Eagle 63" proof. This Luger has a rust blued finish with straw colored small parts.

Manufucture: Mauser
Model: P08
BBL: 3 7/8 inch round
Stock:
Guage: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut checkered
Serial Number: 9158d

Excellent with 95% of the original blue finish still remaining with wear on the edges and high spots. The walnut grips are also excellent with nice distinct checkering on both sides. This pistol has all matching numbers to include the magazine as noted above, except the grips. A nice example of an early "G" date Mauser Luger pistol
