Vertigo (Paramount, 1958). Poster (40" X 60") Poster Style Y (40" X 60"). Director Alfred Hitchcock's psychological thriller about obsession and murder. James Stewart stars as a retired detective who gets drawn into a mystery where he both falls in love with a woman (Kim Novak) he is following and then gets drawn into an attempt on her life. Most of the posters in the campaign used art designed by Saul Bass, however this ultra-rare 40x60 is one of the few posters to use other images including both Stewart and Kim Novak as well as the Golden Gate Bridge. The poster shows wear typical of 40x60's including edge ruffling and minor tears and many crimps throughout the image. There is light rubbing on these crimps resulting in fine white areas where the red background has lightened. There is a four inch tear in the bottom border that goes into the credits area. The poster was used for the 1963 re-release as well and thus the red stamp over the original NSS number. This rarity is seldom seen on the market so get it while you can! Rolled, Fine.
